Bro. Mark Plunkett, from New Ebenezer Baptist Church, Castor, LA, carried a group on mission to the Yucatán from

November 7 - 15, 2009. The primary purpose of this mission was to share the love of Jesus with these wonderful Mayan people. The secondary purpose was to do construction work on the mission church being built in Oxkutzcab. We also had the opportunity to travel across into the state of Campeche to visit one of the first seminary classes being held there at Bolonchen and to do preliminary ground work for missions to that area in 2010. There is a great need for the Gospel to be brought to many villages in this area. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." (Matthew 9:37-38 NIV) If you think you, or you church, might want to go on mission to the Yucatán in 2010, please contact us.
